I had a lovely visitor to my research plots yesterday.
Although I am partial to the native and wild bees myself, the introduced honeybee is undeniably gorgeous, wouldn’t you say?
The ones visiting my plots were so golden too. Really gorgeous bees. I think my blogger-friend Emily (site here: Adventures in Beeland) called them “ginger.” I’d call them rangas myself, haha!
She seemed to appreciate me too, given that I’d provided these delicious flowers for her breakfast. I really want a photo of her flying. These are the best I could do. Still learning!

Gorgeous photos. Bees look so pretty on blue flowers. Rangas was a new word for me!
Rangas is short for “orangutan”. Means the same thing as ginger, I reckon.
I like your bee images very much.
Thank you!
I have been suggesting your site to others. I hope they stop in because your information and photos are wonderful. You know, because you know your subject well, your photos will always be better than those of us that know little. Knowing your subject is one key to good photography I have read.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the good publicity. I don’t know about “better”, but I just love sharing the things I love, I guess, haha.
