Candy-striped leafhopper

I just submitted my PhD thesis to my committee!  WhoO!  I can’t think straight (and I don’t want to write ANYTHING EVER AGAIN (just kidding)), so here are some photos of one of my favourite hemipterans (true bugs), a leafhopper by the name of Graphocephala coccinea.  It is very common, but also very pretty.  If you like this guy, you might like his cousin treehopper.
