Long Island Jumping Spider

I was almost late to work because I found a spider in my bed…and I wanted to photograph it!  According to bugguide, this is Platycryptus undatus, fondly nicknamed the Long Island Jumping Spider.

Look at this cute little guy!

Just look at that sweet little face

  1. I love jumping spiders. The first time I saw one when I moved to Texas I thought it looked like a baby tarantula. I agree with KDKH, it does have a cute face. =)
