I got to see this female orchard bee (Osmia cornifrons) emerging from her nest.  These photos capture her first moments in daylight!

  1. That’s so great. Is that a wicked little grin in photo 3? And how did you do the gif sequence (when you have 1/2 hour or so – oh don’t bother, I’ll look it up on WikiGif). RH

    • I used an online gif maker! I just googled “gif maker” and then uploaded some photos, downloaded the gif, and bam! Easy. 🙂 If I were better at it, the photos would line up better, but I still like the sequence.
