Take a hike! (With me?): Cadillac Mountain

Cadillac Mountain is located in Acadia National Park, ME.  Acadia is an island, so the mountain offers views of the ocean and surrounding forests.  It is quite lovely.  I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked there, but here are some photos so you can see how beautiful it is!

But it is still only 1530 ft (466 m) tall

It is a great place to explore!

Love the coastal/alpine vegetation

The granite of the mountain is gouged by the retreat of the last glaciers.

Boot shot!

  1. You were really lucky to experience Cadillac Mtn. on a clear day. I was a park ranger at Acadia NP in 2003 and 2004; most visitors complained that they climbed up to the top of Cadillac Mtn. and there was too much fog. Lucky you! Great shots. I hope you were there for more than a day or two. There’s so much to explore in Acadia NP.
