Photos from the Feeder: Chickadee Edition

Ah yes, the chickadee…one of my favourite birds and who could not love this little rambunctious character?! Even in the dead of winter, the song of the chickadee rings out, “Hey Sweetie!” (Or “Cheezburger!” for you heretics.)

Chickadees are often hard to photograph on the feeder because they like to snatch up a seed and then fly back to a tree before eating it.

  1. Ah yes. Bird butts! Just been going through a lot of photos from a birding project deleting all the butt-first ones. A stupid number. Q: what is the explanation for taking bird-butt shots? A. Because the bird might fly away and it might be the only shot of the species you ever get…
