Take a hike: Cerro de la Muerte

At over 3,000 metres (more than 9,000 ft) this is the highest elevation in Costa Rica that is near a road. Again, the forest is very different from San Ramon and Camanario. This great variety in habitat types is what makes Costa Rica such a biodiverse country. This is a true cloud forest.
