Look, I’ll admit that human made things like castles and weapons (and babies) don’t pique my natural interest, but I do my best to appreciate them as others do. So I dutifully toured around Vianden Castle, and carefully documented its contents with photography. I already shared some photos around the castle and town, but here are a bunch of suits of armor and historical items that I left out. (Hopefully someone out there will find them more interesting than I, haha)
Shiny Dining room
Lots of, famous I’m sure, tapestries
My favourite tapestry included this somewhat distraught looking dog
The kitchen was my favourite
This well goes down 50 meters!
And now for lots of suits of armor with labels I can’t read
Fake hand lol
I don’t know I think it looks a little silly
Lots of…metal bits?
My favourite photo, because of the light
Does armor help with these kinds of weapons?
I have no idea what this says, but maybe you know
Everything is just mildly interesting because I can’t read any of the signs
But here’s the sign for those of you with language skills and curiosity
Artifacts dug up…apparently the Romans started building this castle a very long time ago
A map (and model version) of the building progress over time
